Know your camera better
The Know your camera better workshop is designed as a way of letting you become familiar with your camera. Its a 3 hour lesson where you will spend the first 2 hours learning about the camera and the last hour going out to do a practical shoot putting the new knowledge into use. I am very familiar with all brands and models of Camera.
If you are new to a DSLR or Mirrorless camera the lesson will be based around the features and functions of your new camera. The first 2 hours covers the camera setup, controls, maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and an explanation of aperture, shutter speed and ISO and how they work together. You will learn how to properly hold your camera and change lenses, how to focus, shoot and review the imags you have just taken.
If you have had your camera for a while and want to learn how to take the camera out of Auto so you can start to take control of your photography then this version of the workshop is for you. The first 2 hours covers an explanation of Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Exposure compensation, the relationship between Aperture, Shutter and ISO and how all this helps take the final step into full manual control. Along the way you will learn about Depth of field, motion blur, how to freeze the action and how to shoot in low light. The last hour will again be a practical shoot putting your new knowledge to use.
This is a 1 on 1 lesson only, I would prefer to concentrate all my attention on one person to make sure you get the most out of the workshop. This workshop is only available at this time to people booking in the Central Coast region and the Lake Macquarie region as I travel to you.
